Write That Down

System ยท Quests

A proper journal, clearer objectives and a way to remember why you came into this cave.

A little direction

The opening adventure now teaches gathering, crafting and equipment through tutorial quests. Prompts are kept out of the way when combat needs your attention. Reading a paragraph while something hits you is a fairly poor tutorial.

The journal keeps the job together: what you are doing, how far you have got and what comes next. A quest catalogue provides the next steps instead of leaving every interaction as a disconnected errand.

The work survives the session

Progress is persistent, and world objectives connect the journal to things you actually do. Daily work uses Pacific-time boundaries, keeping its reset on a defined schedule.

Quest rewards distinguish Saga XP from Class XP. Those are different kinds of progress, and the journal should help you understand the reward before you set off for it.

Less wandering in circles

A good objective gets you moving without doing the adventure for you. The tracker keeps the next task nearby while you explore. Saved quest-tip controls let you decide how much help remains on screen.

There is still plenty to get distracted by. We are simply trying to make it easier to remember the original plan after the distraction has teeth.
