The Flame Sovereign has a card for that. Watch the Pyromancer showcase, from the first attack to the meteor you arrange for next turn.

Read the card. Watch the consequences.

Some heroes bring a shield. The Pyromancer brings a very different proposal for solving the encounter. Our new showcase walks through 71 Pyromancer cards, showing each card before playing it in a fight with Enhanced effects.

The tour begins with the hero, starting weapon and Rite sigil. From there it moves through attacks, attacks across the line, guards, tactics, Rites and party cards. Where an upgrade changes what happens on screen, the showcase includes that version too.

That gives you more to work with than a list of names. Pause on a card, read it, then watch the play. Look for the difference between a card that sounds impressive and one that answers a problem you have actually had.

The fight starts warm

Burning sits at the centre of the Flame Sovereign's plan. The showcase introduces the class rule: enemies start the fight Burning, Burning does not fade, and at three or more it Ignites for double damage.

The Pyromancer is still a glass-cannon caster. Having a plan for the enemy does not remove the need for a plan to survive its reply. The guards section begins at 1:51, and it deserves attention alongside the attacks.

Before spending your hand, look at the enemy actions and the energy you have available. Think about what needs an answer now and what can wait. A fire you will not survive long enough to enjoy is a fairly expensive decoration.

Order a meteor for tomorrow

Starfall calls a meteor down on the whole enemy line on the turn after you play it. That delay makes timing part of the decision. You are spending a card now for something that arrives later.

In co-op, everyone plays during the same turn. Tell the party what you are setting up. A friend deciding whom to protect or which target to finish can make a better choice when they know what is coming.

Treat those conversations as part of the hand. What is urgent? Who needs help getting through this turn? Which enemy can the party leave for the next one? There is room for a plan between pressing a card and pressing Ready.

Find the part of the deck you want to understand

Attacks start at 0:11 and line attacks at 0:53. Guards begin at 1:51, tactics at 2:31, Rites at 3:35 and party cards at 4:59. Use the chapters to revisit the part of the kit you are experimenting with.

The Pyromancer's three mastery paths are Kindling, Cinderheart and Ashwalker. Read their choices in the game and use rewards and the forge to develop the direction you picked. The showcase is a tour of the cards, not a requirement to build one prescribed deck.

Ascent is in development, so use the card text in your installed build for current values. The public Windows preview needs no signup. Pick the Flame Sovereign, bring a friend if you like, and see how much of the first island agrees with your approach.
